Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario
The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is a non-profit professional business association for independent brokers and it is the recognized symbol of excellence within the insurance industry. IBAO deals with governmental issues affecting you and reviews proposed wording changes in legislation that ensures the consumer is protected. IBAO represents their members' interests to government ministries and regulatory bodies, as well as to insurance industry commissions and associations.

The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) is the self-regulatory body for insurance brokers in Ontario. Established in October 1981, RIBO regulates the licensing, professional competence, ethical conduct, and insurance related financial obligations of all independent general insurance brokers in the province.

Registered Insurance Brokers of Canada
IBAC is the national trade organization that brings together and represents the 11 regional and provincial associations of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance brokers in Canada. These associations represent approximately 30,000 insurance brokers in virtually every community across the country. IBAC represents brokers interests to the government of Canada. As a not for profit organization, IBAC is neither an insurance company nor does it sell insurance products or represent insurance companies. IBAC works to elevate the status of insurance brokers through professional development and by establishing improved standards of qualification and ethical practice.
